I looked down and watched the ground shake and tremble beneath my feet.I watched the autumn leaves fall off the trees outside. Family photos fell of the wall. I turned to my brother Kevin, who shook with the ground, but with fear."Earthquake!" "NO DUH!"Kevin yelled at me with fear in his voice. [[go under the coffee table]] [[try to run upstairs to find our family]]I ran under the coffee table with Kevin and waited for the quavering to stop. When it stoped, Kevin and I both ran upsatirs as carfully and quickly as possible to try to find our family but couldn't find them. "You okay?" I asked Kevin "Yeah, I'm fine." [[look inside a little more]] [[look outside]]We found our parents and our sister Olivia in the kitchen. “Are you guys ok?”I asked. Mom answered, “Yeah, we’re fine we were just grabbing some seeds incase of an emergency.” “That was scary! I thought I was going to die!” Olivia exclaimed. “Are you guys ok?” Dad questioned I responded, “Um, I think so.” “Hey guys, look over there!” Kevin says as he points to a door with his antennae. We all look and see that the refrigerator fell and there was a small door closed behind where the refrigerator usually stands. “We should try to go in!” Olivia suggested. “I think that's a bad idea. Who knows what's behind that door. What if we don't come back!?” Kevin cautioned. [[open the door]] [[don't open the door]]We looked outside but couldn't find our family. An aftershock happens and we were both crushed by a falling tree.I ran upstairs as quickly as possible but I triped over my own feet and bumped into Kevin who was behind me and we both fell down the stairs. I hit head on the corner of the coffee table and passed out, while Kevin landed face first on the floor and passed out too. We all ended up walking in this mysterious room behind the door. The room looked like an exact copy of our kitchen. And the rest of the house looked exactly the same as our house too except the pictures on the walls were not of our family. The pictures on the wall were of another family. “Umm…. Does anyone notice the pictures on the walls” Mom asked. “ Yeah, why is there a human family?” Olivia added. “Let's go back, I have a feeling we shouldn’t be here.” Dad said “No! I want to see if anyone is here!” Kevin exclaimed. [[go back]] [[look around]] We helped Dad put the refrigerator back up and cleaned the othter stuff that made a mess in our house and went back to living our normal lives.I really wanted to go back but we stayed. My family walked around the house, but I stayed in the living room. A few minutes passed and I heard a scream coming from upstairs. I ran up the stairs and found my sister staring at herself in the mirror. “I’M….. HUMAN!” Olivia cried. I looked at myself in the mirror and screamed. “How is this possible?! I’m a human too!” I exclaimed. “I DON’T KNOW!” Olivia yelled. Kevin and our parents came running toward us screaming. They were still ants somehow. I couldn’t hear what my family was saying at all, their voices were so soft. They all looked like they were running in circles. I couldn’t tell which ant was which, they all looked the same to me. One of the ants started to get bigger until that ant turned human too. It was Kevin. I could tell it was him because he still had the scar on his face where a twig had scratched him a few years ago. Just then my parents turned into humans too. We started to run towards the door we came in through, but the door was gone. “What do we do know?” Olivia questioned. “I guess we are stuck here,“ Mom said. “I never wanted to be a human! Humans kill us ants! They think we are so gross. Humans are the gross ones!” Kevin says while holding back tears. “We have no choice, the door is gone.” Dad said with his hands on Kevin’s shoulders. They were doomed to live a life they never wanted. We turned around and the door dissapeared right in front of us. We were stuck here. Forevever. “What do we do know?” Olivia questioned. “I guess we are stuck here,“ Mom said. “I never wanted to be a human! Humans kill us ants! They think we are sooooo gross. Humans are the gross ones!” Kevin says while holding back tears. “We have no choice, the door is gone.” Dad said with his hands on Kevin’s shoulders. They were doomed to live a life they never wanted.
