[[Unexpected]] Natalia A. Leonard hurries to the science lab, a thin sheet of sweat forming on his forehead."What am I doing?" Leonard mumbled to himself. Going down the last corridor leading to his lab, he encounters a fellow scientist, Reginald Holmes. Len has always hated the guy, dumb and nosy. Len really doesn’t know how he got the job. "LEONARD," Reg came up to him with open arms."What are you doing here? I thought I saw you go home already?" Len cocked one eyebrow up."So you've been watching me, huh?" [[Go Around Reg and Continue on]] [[Continue to talk to him]] Leonard already knew where Lisa and her kidnappers are. Perhaps he should call the police? Or go to the warehouse himself? [[Call police]] [[Go to warehouse himself]] Len went around the small guy and continued down the hall. Leonard heard,"Okay! See you tomorrow at lunch?" Len only quickened his pace in response. Once he reached his lab, he exhaled, only then realizing he was holding his breath. He walked over to his safe, where the formula to bring ants alive was located. As a scientist, Leonard has made many things. An antidote to bring animals, bugs and insects back from the dead. To Len, it was simple, but to everyone else, it was a miracle. That was the name. Mirakuru. Japanese for Miracle. He looked at it a moment longer, examining the blue glow. He sighed, quickly grabbing it and an injection needle. He then met the group of bad boys at Cornhow street. [[Go inside abandoned warehouse]] [[Examine warehouse first]]Entering the warehouse, Len clung his coat closer to his chest, the chilly winter air getting to him. Leonard started questioning himself once again. What would he do? He took Taekwondoe and Martial Arts for five years and he was red belt in Martial Arts, black in Taekwondoe... they probably have guns so his efforts were most likely futile. Storming in, he surprisingly only saw two men. The doubt he felt dissapeared. He had expected an army of trained men waiting for him. Leonard could already tell that these men were poorly trained by their stance. Did they underestimate him? He wore a [[smug smirk]] all the way to the bad boys. "Well... if I'm going to go inside an unknown place with unknown people who are holding my only family member left, I might as well //KNOW// what I'm walking into." Len said out loud to nobody but himself. Looking at the warehouse, Len noticed a few things. Broken windows. Stained glass. Inappropriate graffiti on walls. Crumbling bricks. And it smells... absolutely horrendous. Well... time to go in. [[Go inside abandoned warehouse]] [[Wait outside a bit longer...]] Leonard shifted on his feet. He wanted to save his sister, oh so very badly. He loved her with more than just his heart. But... he was scared. He questioned whether or not it made him a coward. But he had to save her, he knew so much as that. So he focused on that. [[His love for Lisa.]] And with every step toward the warehouse, he felt somewhat stronger.Entering the warehouse, Len clung his coat closer to his chest, the chilly winter air getting to him. Leonard started questioning himself once again. What would he do? He took Taekwondoe and Martial Arts for five years and he was a red belt in Martial Arts, black in Taekwondoe... they probably have guns so his efforts were most likely futile. Storming in, he surprisingly only saw two men. Did they underestimate him? He wore a [[smug smirk]] all the way to the bad boys.Leonard calls the police, while he was talking, he realized how ridiculous he sounded. But he didn't know how to explain it. These events were so unexpected, but the reality of it was very strong, that was what Leonard was holding on to. So was he supposed to say,"Hey, officers! My sister has been kidnapped in exchange for a formula to bring an ant back to life. A gosh dang ant." Wow. It wouldn’t work anyway. As suspected, the cops just hung up on him. He sighed. This was becoming very difficult, but he knew not to give up hope. He'll just have to go to the warehouse himself. Not a big problem. Whatever. [[Go to warehouse himself]] Entering the warehouse, Len clung his coat closer to his chest, the chilly winter air getting to him. Leonard started questioning himself once again. What would he do? He took Taekwondoe and Martial Arts for five years and he was red belt in Martial Arts, black in Taekwondoe... they probably have guns so his efforts were most likely futile. [[Storming in,]] he surprisingly only saw two men. The doubt he felt dissapeared. He had expected an army of trained men waiting for him. Leonard could already tell that these men were poorly trained by their stance. Did they underestimate him? He wore a smug smirk all the way to the bad boys."Mr. Clarke. I assume you have the antidote?" The buff guy with //at least// 20 tattos asked from the right side of Lisa. Lisa. Oh, poor Lisa. She had dry blood running down her nose and a bruise on her left eye. She wasn't awake either... she had to be unconcious. Or... no. Len wouldn't let himself think of it. All he knew was that he was [[consumed with rage.]] Lisa. That's who Len worked hard for. Lisa. That's the one person Len chose to worry for. Lisa. That's the one person who always believed in Len. Lisa. That's who Leonard truly did love. Yet here she was, hurt. The doubt Len felt earlier came back again. Was he a horrible brother for this? 24 hours ago everything was fine. Yet, he was here. It was so... unexpected. This sense of unfamiliarity washed over him like a tide. And he didn't like it. The way it filled his lungs to the point where he couldn't breathe. Then he remembered. LISA. He was here to save the one person he truly. Did. Love. [[Go all out and put the Taekwondoe to use]] [[Follow the original plan, without anyone getting hurt]]Len glared at the man. He quickly brought his right fist squarely in the tall mans jaw. He continued and punched the second guy straight in his nose. Both men fell straight to the ground and passed out. Len quickly untied Lisa and was about to carry Lisa to the car when Len saw the dead ant. Len sighed, carefully put Lisa down and picked up the ant in his palm. He used the antidote and to Len's surprise. The ant started moving up and down his arm. Len picked up Lisa once more and took her to the car. Len examined the ant, his brown hair falling into his face."I'll name you Acro." Len mumbled to himself. Once he got home he... [[Let the ant go]] [[Keep Acro]] He took a deep breath and willed himself to calm down. He responded,"Yes, I do," Len retrieved a small bottle with an injection needle from his coat pocket,"And I assume I will get Lisa in return?" The man grunted in response. Handing the bottle over to the first man, the second man started untying Lisa. Len carried Lisa and was about to exit when the man called out after him,"Wait! I... uh... I don't know how this works." Len was beyond confused. Leonard asked,"I'm sorry, I don't follow." The man glared at Len."I mean I don't know what to do with this tube-needle-thingy. Help me." Len sighed, put Lisa down and snatched the needle from the man. Len asked,"Why are you trying to save an ant." "All we wanted to do was make little Acro here our pet, but little bastard kept on running away. Only option left was to kill him. But you can bring anything back to life. You're smart. I thought he was dead." The man started tearing up. Len shook his head and finished up reviving the ant. Acro the ant started moving around. Seeing the man who tried to kill him/her, he/her ran the opposite way. To Len. [[Put your palm out and take Acro]] [[Run away from whole situation]] Len put his arm out and slightly shook his arm. The ant got off and Len could've sworn he heard the ant talk protests. Leonard got up and shook his head. What Leonard really needed was to get out of town. Get away from all of this. He went inside the house and started packing for himself and Lisa. Would he miss this house? Maybe. Growing up in foster care with Lisa, he could easily adapt to whatever was thrown his way. But this house, his house he was paying for. Is not going to be his house in the next 24 hours. He had memories here he wasn't really willing to let go. All those times Lisa and him stayed up late, binge watching nonsense shows. The way she fell asleep on his shoulder. Those were the few times he let his cold wall he built fade away. But he had to let it go, he would rather move and not lose Lisa rather than it be reversed. This is the right move. [[Move Houses]] [[Move States]] [[Move Continents]] Standing outside of his house he looked at Acro. An ant. Well. It didn't want to crawl off him. He could just keep him. It wouldn't really matter, would it? He was going to move anyway. Where would he move? [[Move Houses]] [[Move States]] [[Move Continents]] Man, these events are so unexpected.Len thought moving houses was fine. He moved to a more secluded, private, more secure place and spent his free time making sure Lisa was alright. He even took it so far to work from home if he could. He didn't mind anyway. He was happy with Lisa. Man, these events were so unexpected. Len decides to move to Hawaii. In his time there, he actually becomes tan, something he thought was not possible. Leonard may have moved, but not much has changed about him. He was still his sarcastic self, but he grew out of his shell. He let his cold wall go. He smiled more, and it was out of joy. He didn't always think about Lisa and him all the time. He invested his free time in shelters and other activites he wouldn't have done before. He had just realized that he's not immortal. He wanted to spend his time with Lisa and making sure that his good deeds have made a difference in the world. Needless to say, he definitely grew softer. Man, these events are so unexpected. Leonard didn't want anybody stealing anybody ever again. He thought Australia was a quite good place to move. He had the money. He had Lisa. It would be okay. They could start over. And they did. But they were still the same. Leonard and Lisa still bickered. Especially when she brought a //boy// home. Leonard thought he was going to jail. Wow, these events are so unexpected. Len put his palm out to Acro. Len looked up and saw the man glaring at Len, ready to tackle him. Lens flight or fight instinct kicked in. He grabbed Lisa in his arms, careful not to crush Acro. Running out to the car and speecing, he heads home and... [[Let the ant go]] [[Keep Acro]] Len took Lisa and ran outside to the cars. He honestly doesn't want to get involved into any more shenanigans. Not his problemo. [[Move Houses]] [[Move States]] [[Move Continents]] "Mr. Clarke. I assume you have the antidote?" The buff guy with at least 20 tattoos asked from the right side of Lisa. Lisa. Oh, poor Lisa. She had dry blood running down her nose and a dark purple bruise on her left eye. He didn't bring what they wanted, he honestley didn't want to give in to whatever they planned. Leonard may have spent a lot of his life isolating people and closing them off, but he had enough decency to not aid and abet a criminal. Lisa wasn't awake either... she had to be unconscious. Or... no. Len wouldn't let himself think of it. He didn't know what had happened, [[all he knew]] was that he was consumed with rage. All Leonard knew was that he was angry. And the following was a blur. When he regained composure, he noticed the two men on the floor, and heavy breathing only coming from himself. Leonard looked down at his knuckles, obviously red and blood stained. It ached and groaned in pain, not used to the contact with anothers face. Len quickly forgot about the pain once he saw Lisa. Len quickly untied Lisa and was about to carry Lisa to the car when Len saw the dead ant. Len sighed, carefully put Lisa down and picked up the ant in his palm. It's just an ant, he told himself. Why should he involve himself with this? The whole reason why Lisa is tied up? He shouldn't. He really shouldn't have, but he did. Leonard was more than decent if he felt the need to save a singular ant. Ants die all the time. But Leonard was both mentally and physically exhausted, perhaps he wasn't in his right mind. He picked up Lisa once more and took her to the car. Len examined the ant, his brown hair falling into his face. It was an //Acropyga// ant. Not very common, but not rare either. It was quite yellowish with 11 or fewer antenna segments. It was about two millimeters long, he was quick to identify the ant. "I'll name you //Acro,// short for Acropyga." Len mumbled to himself. Once he got home he wanted to... [[Keep Acro the Ant]] [[Let the ant go]] Standing outside of his house he looked at Acro. An ant. Well. It didn't want to crawl off him. He could just keep him. It wouldn't really matter, would it? He was going to move anyway. Where would he move? [[Move Houses]] [[Move States]] [[Move Continents]] Man, these events are so unexpected.//"No."// Reg said. He continued to stare at Leonard but quickly walked off. Leonard just scoffed at him, obviously annoyed. Reginald was a very peculiar man. Time to continue on. Leonard finished walking towards his lab. What was only a few minutes, felt like hours. Slow, yet fast. Time flew by, but Leonard was slowly walking. Leonard still walked, but the walls were closing in on him. Leonard couldn’t breathe. He stopped abruptly, clawing at his chest. He breathed, in and out. A slow, relaxing rhythm. Even after the surprising panic attack, Leonard still continued on. He didn’t want to waste any time. Once he reached his lab, he exhaled, only then realizing he was holding his breath. He walked over to his safe, where the formula to bring ants alive was located. As a scientist, Leonard has made many things. An antidote to bring animals, bugs and insects back from the dead, and many more creations. This one was just the more bizarre one. To Len, it was actually quite simple, but to everyone else, it was a miracle. That was the name. Mirakuru. Japanese for Miracle. He looked at it a moment longer, examining the blue glow. He sighed, quickly grabbing it and an injection needle. He then met the men at Cornhow street. [[Go inside abandoned warehouse]] [[Examine warehouse first]]Leonard came home from the lab and noticed the door slightly ajar. Len became very confused and went inside. What he saw horrified him. All of the furniture was displaced and across the room. The couch was flipped over. The lamp was shattered. Blood was on the table. Only one more person lived with him. Lisa Clarke, his sister. On the fridge, a note was taped to it. It said,"If you want your sister back alive, meet us at 2568 Cornhow street with a way to bring any ant back alive. Pay the ransom or she dies." Len started tearing up. This has to be a prank. Who would need an ant to be brought back to life? That's absolutley ridiculous. Why did they have to take Lisa? Out of all methods? What was he going to do? [[Pay ransom]] [[Find Lisa himself]]
