“Go get me a drink!” said Charlie.
“Do I have to?” whined Jordan, He knew he was taking a risk just by talking back to Charlie.
“If you want to go home without scratch marks on your face.” Jordan was sick of Charlie using him as a slave just because he was a cat. Charlie had always been disgusted by cats, but no one really knew why, his foster parents were very kind and good-willed and he went to a good school. Charlie had always been mean to everyone but his parents. So Charlie didn’t have any friends or anyone to talk to, some people thought that was why he was a bully, but no one really knew. Jordan then went to get charlie a cup of water mumbling something that Charlie couldn’t hear. When Jordan got home from school he decided to do something about charlie. At dinner, Jordan told his parents about Charlie. When his parents heard about Charlie they asked how long charlie has been bullying Jordan, Jordan replied saying that Charlie had been bullying him for the entire year. It was halfway through the year so it was a big problem for Jordan’s parents. His parents said that they would call the school and tell them about Charlie. Charlie had been a bully for his entire life (especially to cats). Jordan’s parents were sure to include that in the call with the school, but the school didn’t even do anything, the school got so many calls about Charlie that they just stopped trying altogether.

The next day Jordan didn’t show up to school. At break time charlie was furious
“WHERE IS JORDAN!!!” he screamed. He viewed Jordan as his personal slave who always had to be around him. Charlie was also even madder that day because his foster dad had not come home from work two days before, his foster parents were the only people that he cared about, even though his mom was a cat, that was another thing no one understood about charlie. Of course, no one asked him why he hated cats even though his mom was one. Charlie was always an honest loving kid at home so when his parents got calls from the school they were very confused. After charlie screamed, all the people around him (who he used as slaves just because they were near him) got super scared because when charlie was mad he was crazy mad. But after he screamed his face got pale and he stuttered, “s-S-sorry.,” SORRY from CHARLIE, no one but his parents had ever heard him say that word. Everyone around him was awestruck and also consumed in fear. After that charlie tried to curl up into a ball as much as he could until he got home, even the teachers were confused about why Charlie was like this. When he got home he plopped down on the couch and cried for hours until he got a strange call on the home phone.
[[next->Untitled Passage 1]] When he answered he quivered,
“Y-ye-yes” from the phone came a deep and creepy voice
“Hello Charlie,” it said. Charlie stepped back in horror
“How do you know my name,” he said in fear
“A little birdie told me.”
“What do you want from me”
“I want to make a deal, you have something I want and I have something you want. However, you have a time limit to get me what I want, also it if you don’t give me what I want in the time limit you don’t get what you want”
“What could I want from you,” he screamed
“Well, what do you not have.”
“GIVE ME BACK MY DAD!” Charlie was sobbing uncontrollably now.
“Ah ah ah, you need to give me what I want first”
“What do you want,” cried Charlie. Charlie thought about telling the police, his mom or maybe even the company he worked for. After all, his dad was a very important man, he was the founder of one of the biggest companies in the world. The company was called Cerotrau. Croteau was such a big company because it made vehicles for every type of animal, this was a gigantic leap in public transportation because before only a few animals could drive.
[[next->Untitled Passage 2]] A different voice came up from the phone “Money kid, money”
[[stay on the phone]]
[[hang up->Untitled Passage 5]] “Ok, calm down,” Christina pleaded.
“Take deep breaths.” As Charlie sped down the street on his bike he was wondering how worried his mom must be. Charlie was only a few blocks away from the abandoned house. His clothes were now soaking wet, but he kept on pedaling and pedaling until he got there. When he got there he almost fell off his bike, he had forgotten what the abandoned house looked like, it’s broken door that lay on the collapsing porch with broken windows and boards behind them. After gulping he walked inside the house feeling sick.
[[next->Untitled Passage 4]]
The inside of the house was even worse than the outside, there were scratch marks on the walls, broken chairs and tables, and graffiti everywhere. After taking in his surroundings Charlie heard yelling from down the stairs, he couldn’t quite make out what they were saying. As he inched down the stairs as quietly as he could, he held on to his pocket knife as much as his body would let him, hoping they wouldn’t see him or hear him. Once he was close enough to hear them he heard someone screaming
[[next->Untitled Passage 6]]
“How much?’
“30,000,000 dollars.” Charlie was then very confused and thought he heard them wrong
“30,000,000?”
“Yeah”
“HOW AM I GOING TO GET 30 MILLION DOLLARS,” Charlie screamed
“Your father is an important man is he not?”
“OF COURSE HE’S IMPORTANT HE IS MY DAD!”
“Well if you want him back we will need 30 million dollars,”
“I DON’T EVEN KNOW WHERE YOU ARE!”
“Where do you think we are?”
“YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE!”
[[next->Untitled Passage 5]] Charlie then hung up, ran as fast as his fox legs could carry him, unplugged the phone, went up to the fourth floor and chucked the phone as far as he could. After that Charlie went around kicking and scratching everything in his room in a blinding rage “ARAHHH,” he violently screamed. After screaming and kicking things Charlie just stood there huffing and puffing. After a few seconds of huffing and puffing one of the maids walked in “GET OUT!” This was a side of Charlie Christina had not seen, Christina was Charlie’s only real friend so naturally, Christina was very confused. Christina just closed the door and walked away. Christina was also Charlie’s friend because they had both been born under a bridge and sent to foster care at a very young age. Charlie then thought to himself that it was time to do something, he knew that they were most likely hiding in the abandoned house about 2 miles down from charlie’s house. Charlie then sprinted down to the garage,

“what is it!”

[[wait]]
“What do you mean work?”
“A slave.”
“A what?”
“I told you a slave.” Charlie was overcome with shock, how was he going to be a slave!
“Get to work.”
“Start cleaning this place up.” that would be a very challenging task for charlie, he had never cleaned before and the place was super dirty, there were broken chairs and other things. There were empty soda cans and lots of dirt.
“How,” Charlie asked
“What do you mean how? You use the broom to sweep and throw everything else away” charlie then got to work.
After working for about 30 minutes charlie could not deal with it, he kept on coughing and sneezing because there was so much dirt. His back also hurt because he kept on having to move heavy things like broken furniture. The moment Charlie had enough he waited for the man on the phone and his buddies to turn away to run. After 30 seconds Charlie saw his chance to run, the man on the phone turned away to tell Charlie to move a couch. The moment he looked away Charlie got up and started running up the stairs

The moment he looked away Charlie got up and started running up the stairs
“Where do you think you’re going?” Charlie didn’t even want to run away.
“Go get him!” Said the man on the phone. As charlie got to the top of the stairs he didn’t look back or stop, Charlie wasn’t even thinking, but when he got close to the doorway he stopped. Charlie realized that he came to get his dad back but now he was running away.
Charlie went into what was left of the living room and hid behind a flipped couch in the corner. Once Charlie waited for a few seconds he peeked from behind the couch
“Found you!” said the dog. Just as Charlie started to get up all of the lights went out with a loud BANG! Charlie used his chance to get away and ran to the corner of the room where he thought they couldn't see him. Charlie’s heart was beating faster than it ever had. After the men chasing charlie realized what had happened, they kept trying to find Charlie, although no one but his parents knew, Charlie was pretty smart. Charlie knew if he didn’t do anything he would be found, so he stomped his feet to make it seem like he was running away. After Charlie had done that they instantly ran outside trying to find him. Once Charlie was sure that they were gone he started to go downstairs to get his dad, But when he got downstairs the man on the phone was still there “Your pretty smart kid, too bad it has to go to waste.” the two men then came downstairs to stop charlie just in case he tried to get away again.

[[next->Untitled Passage 8]] After two tiring days and sleepless nights the kidnappers decided to let Charlie sleep for a bit, after all, they had to keep him alive. Charlie was rudely awoken by a kick in the stomach
“You slept the whole day, now get to work.” Just then there was talking and footsteps coming from upstairs
“what's that?” all of the kidnappers then went up the stairs to see what was happening. After a minute or two had passed Charlie heard yelling and fighting,
[[go see what is happening]]
[[free your dad]]
Charlie then went up the stairs to go see what was happening, but the moment he got upstairs a chair with a sharp edge hit him in the head. The next thing Charlie knew he was in a hospital with a nurse beside him
“What happened,” Charlie asked
“A chair hit you in the head. You lost your eye and got a concussion.” Charlie then felt his eye, or what was left of it and felt a lot of bandages.
“Where is my dad?” the nurse looked at him with a sad face and said,
“ your father has sadly passed.”

[[go back and free your dad->free your dad]] Charlie used this chance to set his dad free with the pocket knife that had been given to him for his 8th birthday 4 years ago. Charlie then helped his dad upstairs. When they got upstairs it was chaos, there was fighting, chairs being thrown across the room and lots of yelling. Charlie then took his dad outside in the chaos. When they got outside a mongoose who was driving stopped to look at Charlie and his dad coming out of the house. Then another driver stopped to do the same, but of course, they didn’t think to break, so they collided. After everything got solved, the cops came charlie and his dad went home, the kidnappers went to jail and everyone in the car crash recovered, Charlie went back to school. Charlie was gone for a week, and when he came back no one was happy. Everyone still thought Charlie was a bully and that he had not changed, but they were wrong and Charlie even made some friends for the first time.

As Willow burst through the front door dripping Christina went and got a towel for her as she sat down on the couch.

When Charlie peeked around the corner he saw a fox with a black eye and lots of swollen fingers.
“Tell us!” Charlie recognized that voice, it was the man on the phone.
“491-209-4573,” the fox with the black eye said. That was Charlie’s phone number! Charlie then heard his phone ring. Charlie then quickly tried to turn off his phone but stepped on his shoelace and fell off the last stair. The man on the phone turned around and saw Charlie “well I guess he came after all,” the man on the phone said. Charlie then looked up, the man on the phone was a cat! This made Charlie hate cats even more than he already did. “Well do you have the money,” he said. Charlie tried to get up but the man kicked him back down
“I asked you something, answer me punk.”
“N-n-N-n-no,” Charlie said in a small voice
“Trying the rescue your father without the money, are you.”
